I'm the kind of guy that wants one great tool that "does it all," but if I have to use 3 or 4 IDEs to get all the features I need/want, that's what I do.
I may suggest to use a project generator as Premake.
So all projects are in sync.

Well I tried that - it doesn't crash here, so maybe they've done something about it. :-) But the reaction is "interesting", indeed - looks like they didn't read what you wrote.
