Spaces and Whitespaces are not Monospace on Mac?

But it seems that - on a Mac at least - spaces don't really take the same width as characters. So

Are not aligned. Tried with Courier, Monaco or any other monospace font.

I know this is a minor issue, but still thought to report it.

Odd.

But I'm seem to have been wrong. Using exactly the same version of codelite in which I thought there's a problem, all seem to be OK now.
